Software Potential Runtime APIs

We offer a comprehensive set of runtime APIs to the Software Potential service that allow you to tightly integrate license management & control capabilities with your application. These APIs are included in all customer subscriptions at no extra charge, even for the Software Potential Starter Pack.

The runtime APIs give you the ability to control and automate key tasks in the interaction of licensing with your local application - for example license request, license activation, license query, feature checks, license updates etc. All Software Potential Agent functionality can be delivered via APIs, to the extent that there are several hundred individual runtime APIs for the service. Software Potential Web APIs

The Software Potential Web APIs enable you to integrate license management into external applications such as billing, e-commerce, CRM, HelpDesk and ERP applications, as well as enabling you to automate the collection of license data within these systems.

These APIs are hugely beneficial if you have invested in backend business management systems and mean Software Potential can become an integrated part of your business rather than a stand alone software licensing platform.

The Software Potential Web APIs are not provided as part of the Starter Pack plan. If you are a Starter Pack customer and need these APIs, please contact us. Examples of how our customers integrate license management & customer licensing data in their business systems include:
